i t’s beginning to look a lot like ski season and Vail Resorts is welcoming the flurries with a lodging sale travelers can use to plan their winter getaways. The Weekday Adventure Sale, which starts on Thursday for Epic Pass holders and kicks off on Oct. 9 for non-pass holders, offers big savings on lodging at some of the most popular mountain resorts like Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Park City, the company shared with Travel + Leisure. Epic Pass holders can save up to 30 percent off weekday rates, while non-pass holders can save up to 10 percent off. The sale wraps up on Oct. 12. “With all five of our Colorado resorts already welcoming snowfall on the slopes, now is the best time to plan a winter vacation,” Laura Bonfiglio, a spokesperson for Vail Resorts, told T+L. “The Weekday Adventure Sale offers the best lodging rates for midweek stays across Vail Resort’s portfolio, from iconic mountain hotels to ski-in/ski-out condos.” The sale includes deals at several of Vail’s resorts: Whistler Blackcomb, Vail, Beaver Creek, Heavenly, Breckenridge, Seven Springs, Park City, Crested Butte, Northstar, Keystone, Okemo, Liberty, Hunter, and Kirkwood. The deal comes just weeks before several resorts out West plan to open for the season, like Breckenridge and Vail, which plan to open on Nov. 10, and Keystone, which plans to open as early as this month. Travelers can still purchase an Epic Pass for the upcoming season, which first went on sale in March and goes up in price on Oct. 11. New for this year, the Epic Pass is going digital with skiers and snowboarders able to store their pass on their phones and scan it on the mountain hands-free through Bluetooth. The pass, which is currently on sale for $949, offers unlimited and unrestricted access to more than 40 different mountain resorts and limited access to dozens more resorts all over the world.
